We offer support to disabled and chronically ill students at the universities and colleges in Bochum. In order to successfully graduate, this group of students –
in contrast to able-bodied fellow students – has to learn important additional structures, so they can manage and organise their studies and daily life.
Additional requirements due to disability often cannot be met without receiving financial support or disadvantage compensations during exams The team of the Disability Support Service helps
clients to claim these. But apart from individual counselling the team also provides general information for disabled and chronically ill students about changes in social welfare legislation
and other issues. We also inform you what specific facilities disabled individuals will find in and around Bochum and what is missing.respectively.
