The Consultation Office for foreign students
The academic office of support (AKAFÖ) und the representation of the students (AStA) offer a consultation service (AKAS)
for all foreign students at the university of Ruhr-Bochum.
Our team ist at your service to answer your questions.
Our Services:
- Individual and professional consultation dealing with social and juridical matters
- First orientation in the German high education system
- Aid to attack and solve daily problems. (filling out forms and applications, administrative matters, insurance.. )
- Giving possibilities to find jobs , flats and apartments
- Aid to integration and improvement of personal efforts
- Development of concepts for supporting multicultural living

Other services for foreign students
To support foreign students and make their life in Bochum easier the AKAFÖ Bochum employs students called "Wohnheimtutoren" (TuWo)-
